Calendar Tips

Here are some tips and useful information on how to use the NHSB calendar.

Calendar Categories

The calendar is divided up into two categories:

Northville High Band Events - The NHSB calendar includes all the events relevant to the students, staff and boosters of the instrumental music programs at NHS. These events show up in orange on the calendar.
Holidays in United States - This is the default holiday calendar offered by Google Calendar. Holidays are displayed in blue.

You can filter the calendar based on which events you wish to see. For example, if you want to filter out the holidays from the calendar, click on the small arrow over the month right above the calendar. This expands to a list of available calendars. All you need to do is uncheck the calendars you want to remove from the view.

Importing the Calendar

You have the option of importing or linking to the Band calendar from your own calendar if you have a calendar with that capability. If you want to import an individual event, you can click on the event to open the details, then click on the "Google" or "Outlook (ICS)" depending on which type of calendar you use. You can also click on one of the links below to link or import the entire NHSB calendar:

Google used to provide an XML link as well, but the XML link is no longer available as of November 18, 2015.

Note: Every calendar has different requirements Check with your calendar provider or search Google if you are unsure what format you need. The calendar events are originating in Google Calendars so it should be easy to find the information you need. The ability to link is provided as a convenience; we cannot provide technical support for anything beyond this site.
