These exciting summer camps will include nearly all of the opportunities presented in a physical setting. In many cases, our online programs actually offer more instructional and performance opportunities: more private lessons, more master classes, more live-streamed faculty recitals, more daily music classes like theory, composition, conducting, music history, etc.

The 2020 PIMF Symphony Orchestra Program will offer a tremendous opportunity for student musicians to work in a virtual orchestra setting under the baton of such outstanding professional musicians as Thomas Hong, Artistic Director and Conductor of the University of Pennsylvania Orchestras, and Louis Scaglione, President and Music Director of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. Students in this program will spend each morning in virtual orchestra and sectional rehearsals, and afternoons in daily performance classes, music education classes, solo performance preparation classes, optional competition rehearsals, and weekly private lessons with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra. The Solo Performance Preparation Program (SPPP) is designed for advanced student musicians 13-19 years of age that are preparing for upcoming auditions, competitions, and solo performances. The SPPP online program includes:  daily, hour-long private lessons with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra , daily 30-minute workout sessions with faculty accompanist, daily hour-long solo performance classes, extensive competition and performance opportunities, and more.

The Philadelphia International Music Festival Piano Studies Program is designed for intermediate to advanced-level pianists ages 13-19, and includes: daily private lessons with our faculty pianists; daily morning master classes with guest instructors; daily instructional piano seminars; extensive solo performance opportunities; two virtual competitions through which winners are given an opportunity to perform as soloists with the New York Sessions Orchestra during the 2021 season and present a private, hour-long recital at Cunningham Piano Company in Philadelphia (live-streamed by PIMF).
