Marching Band

Uniform Distribution

Dates: 08/21/2019 - 08/26/2019

Parent volunteers are needed to help with marching band uniform distribution.



2020 Open Chairs

The following positions will be open for next band season 2020-21. Please consider volunteering, you can shadow the current chair this season. Thank you!



Football Game Volunteers

Football game dates: 09/06, 09/20, 10/11, 10/25

Volunteers are needed for the following areas -

Field Assistance - Set up podiums and line markers on the football field for pre-game and halftime shows.

Pre-Game Water Distribution - Distribute water to band after pre-game show on the south end of the field.

Pizza/Pop Distribution - Distribute pizza and pop after the half time show.

3rd Quarter Cleanup - Gather trash & pop/water bottles from band after they are done eating during 3rd Quarter. Final clean-up after band leaves for post-game.

Symphonic Band



Date: 12/06/2019

BAND-O-RAMA is the highlight of the marching band season. We need volunteers to donate food items for concessions, sale tickets, and usher people in/out of the auditorium.

Please sign up for one or more items to make this event a success. Concession items will be sold at $1 each. They need to be delivered to the school front entrance hall by 6:15 pm on the day of the event.



Pre-Festival Concert

Dates: 02/04/2020 and 2/5/2020

Looking for volunteers to help with ticket booth and ushering. There are two dates to choose from so you will not miss your child's performance. If you are not able to attend the band festival, this is a good opportunity to see the show. 



District Band Festival

Date: TBD

Uniform Inspectors will arrive school at student report time to check on student uniforms. Students who doesn't have the proper attire (socks, bow ties etc) can purchase one for $5. Inspectors will need to keep a list with who buys what and whether paid and give to Mrs. Ray-Hepp.

Bus chaperones will ride bus with students and supervise as needed. Bus chaperones are welcome to stay during the festival, but is optional. You are welcome to sign up for more than one responsibilities if you have the time.

Festival Helper will assist band director where needed, including supervising students, carrying items as band moves from room to room etc.



Award Preparation Chair

Dates: Late April/early May time frame.

Need a volunteer to help preparing band award envelopes. Each band member gets an award envelope based on their grade, band, instrument, and festival results. Award items will be provided.



Band Spring Concert and Award Night

Dates: 05/19/2020-05/20/2020

We are also looking forward to the award night where our band students will be recognized for their outstanding work this year! Your help is very much appreciated! You can either volunteer your time to help out at the concert or award night, or donate items for the reception. If you would like to be reimbursed for the cost of purchase, please save the receipt and give to Band Service Coordinator Yanli Zhao
