The following opportunities offered by MSBOA are optional. These are in addition to what is offered in the well-rounded instrumental music program at Northville High School. All students are encouraged to participate in these opportunities.
ALL-STATE BAND, JAZZ ENSEMBLE, AND FULL ORCHESTRA
Registration for All-State Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Full Orchestra Auditions is due by 5:00 PM on Monday, September 22, 2025. The audition schedule will be announced by MSBOA on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Saline High School.
If you need a time change due to an unavoidable conflict or are no longer able to audition for All-State after you have submitted your registration, you must email Mr. Kollipara at kolliparaad@northvilleschools.org as soon as possible so that MSBOA can adjust your time or remove you from the schedule.
Selected musicians will perform with the All-State Bands at the 21st Annual Michigan Music Conference (MMC) in Grand Rapids between Thursday, January 22 and Saturday, January 24, 2025 to represent music education.
DISTRICT XII SOLO & ENSEMBLE
Registration for District S&E is due by 5:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025. District XII S&E is on Saturday, January 31, 2026 (RESCHEDULED DAY) at Livonia Franklin High School. You must complete the Google Form and print out the paper form to submit with payment to the white mailbox in the band room, which is on top of the filing cabinet next to the music library.
You will be eligible to register for State S&E if you earn a First Division Rating. STATE SOLO & ENSEMBLE
Registration for State S&E is due by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. State S&E is on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at ***NOVI HIGH SCHOOL*** (not Churchill High School). If you earned a First Division Rating at District XII S&E, you are eligible to register for State S&E.
