Pep Band & Drumline Performances at Senior Night Hockey Games are on Saturday, January 24 (Boy’s) and Sunday, February 1 (Girl’s). We currently only have 1 of 4 chaperone slots filled.
Pre-Festival Celebration Concerts are coming up in 2 weeks on Tuesday, February 3 and Wednesday, February 4. We currently only have 4 of 10 ticket & usher volunteer slots filled.
After-School District Band Festival Rehearsals:
NO REHEARSALS DURING FINALS WEEK.
Symphonic Band 11/12 rehearses on Mondays at 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Symphonic Band 9/10 rehearses on Tuesdays at 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Jazz Ensemble rehearses on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 2:30 – 3:30 PM. See the Band Calendar for the full rehearsal schedule.

- Report to Novi Ice Arena: 6:00 PM (pizza provided before game)
- Performance: 6:45 – 9:15 PM (may end earlier depending on gameplay)

- From NHS and Hillside, 12 students were selected based on exceptional MSBOA All-State auditions to perform at the 21st Michigan Music Conference (MMC) in the DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids on Saturday, January 24, 2026 to represent music education!
- Only 400 out of 4,000+ students who auditioned are selected for the performing ensembles.
- Congratulations to NHS students Yeeun Kim (flute), Connor Feng (French horn), Caleb Kim (clarinet), Elliot Kim (violin), Madison Koo (violin), Dorathy Tan (cello), Claire Kim (cello), and Hillside students Keegan Shin (flute), Isabella Jiang (flute), Catherine Gong (flute), Nolan Lu (violin), and Emily Sheffer (string bass).
- Additionally, there were 4 honorable mentions! Congratulations to NHS students Chinmayi Ravikumar (flute) and Yue Jin (violin), and Hillside students Darek Paxton (tuba) and Seoyun Choi (viola).
