The NHS Music Boosters will meet at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in the NHS Ensemble/Orchestra Room 132.

WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS to fill several NHS Music Boosters Board positions for the 2026-27 school year! Positions open are President, Treasurer, Secretary, Website Designer, IT (to help with credit card payments for donations and raffle tickets), and Fundraising.

JOIN THIS MEETING or contact Mr. Kollipara if you are interested in volunteering for one of these positions. Thank you to Carin Lawing and Lora Graentzdoerffer for continuing their position on the Boosters Board!

MSBOA State Jazz Festival for the NHS Jazz Ensemble is on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 @ 3:30 PM at Bloomfield Hills HS.

Report to the Band Room in Tuxedo after being excused from 3B @ 12:30 PM. From NHS, students are bussed to and from festival. Students must ride the bus to festival. All instruments are transported on the bus. Students are responsible for ensuring that the instrument(s)/equipment they use are loaded/unloaded from the bus and safely transported to/from festival. Students may return from festival with parents, but must notify Mr. Kollipara & Mr. Rumbell before leaving. We will return to NHS at approximately 5:30 PM.

All band students and family members are encouraged to join the Jazz Ensemble at festival as audience members and observe the comments from the adjudicators during the post-performance clinic!

State Jazz Festival is a required and graded performance for Jazz Ensemble members.

MSBOA State Solo & Ensemble Festival will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Novi High School. Parents and friends are welcome to watch performances. You can record performances, but you must ask the performance adjudicator for permission before recording audio or video of their commentary after the performances.

MSBOA District XII Band Festival will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Ypsilanti Lincoln High School. Symphonic Band 9/10 reports to the Band Room at 2:30 PM, performs at 5:50 PM, and returns to NHS at approximately 8:00 PM. Symphonic Band 11/12 reports to NHS at 4:45 PM, performs at 7:45 PM, and returns to NHS at approximately 9:50 PM.

From NHS, students are bussed to and from festival. Students must ride the bus to festival. Percussion and larger instruments are transported via trailer. The trailer will go with SB 9/10 and return with SB 11/12. SB 9/10 brings all percussion instruments that are also needed for SB 11/12. All other instruments are transported via bus. Students are responsible for ensuring that the instrument and equipment they specifically use are loaded and unloaded from the trailer and buses, and safely transported to and from festival. Students may return from festival with parents, but must notify Mr. Kollipara & Mr. Rumbell before leaving.

District XII Band Festival is a required and graded performance for all band students.

A Pre-Festival Celebration Concert 1 features NHS Symphonic Band 11/12, Meads Mill MS 8^th Grade Band, and Hillside MS 8^th Grade Band.

A Pre-Festival Celebration Concert 2 features NHS Symphonic Band 9/10, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble.

Drumline & Pep Band will perform on Sunday, February 1 at the Girls’ Senior Night Hockey Game at Eddie Edgar Ice Arena. Wear band apparel and NHS colors. Drumline wears their hoodies. It is chilly in the arena, so be sure to dress warmly. Review the agenda below. See the Pep Band Page for music.

• 4:15 PM – Meet in Eddie Edgar Ice Arena. Pizza provided, courtesy of the Girls’ Hockey Team!
• 4:50 PM – Hockey Senior Night Ceremony, then Drumline cadences or Pep Band music if time remains before National Anthem.
• 5:00 PM – Pep Band performs National Anthem, then game begins (~2 hours). We will play A LOT!

Drumline & Pep Band will perform on Saturday, January 24 at the Boy’s Senior Night Hockey Game at Novi Ice Arena. Wear band apparel and NHS colors. Drumline wears their hoodies. • 5:00 PM – Report to NHS for rehearsal.
• 5:45 PM – Depart from NHS.
• 6:00 PM – Meet in Novi Ice Arena. Enter through right side main doors and go directly forward into the arena. We sit in the first section as soon as you go down the few steps.
• 6:15 PM – Pizza provided, courtesy of the Boy’s Hockey Team!
• 6:35 PM – Hockey Senior Night Ceremony, then Drumline cadences if time remains before National Anthem.
