WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4: After-School Marching Band Rehearsal

• Meet in the band room for 2:30 – 5:00 PM rehearsal.
• Bring all rehearsal necessities and dress for the weather.
• Aretha Franklin Show Shirts
  • These will be available for pickup for those who ordered.
  • A limited supply of extra shirts (S/M/L) have been ordered and can be purchased on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. See Adam at a break and purchase with cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle – T-shirts ($24), crewnecks ($39), hoodies ($49).

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5: Music Boosters MOD Pizza Fundraiser

• Join us for our first MOD Pizza Fundraiser at 18821 Traditions Drive by bringing this flyer (or mentioning the fundraiser at checkout for IN-PERSON orders) or using code MODGIVES25 (required for ONLINE orders).

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6: Pep Band Rehearsal in Seminar

• Rehearsals are in the Band Room during 1A Seminar (7:30 – 8:20 AM) on Friday, October 6 and Tuesday, October 10.
• This game is on Friday, October 13 at Novi High School.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6: Senior Night Home Football Game vs. Hartland Eagles

SENIOR NIGHT CEREMONY: All seniors will be recognized in the stadium prior to the pre-game performance. Parents, please arrive at the Cooke side of the track (northwest corner near the concessions) at 6:15 PM. Line up alphabetically by last name and await further instructions from coordinators. Seniors will be announced shortly thereafter.

• NHS MUSIC BOOSTERS ANNOUNCEMENT: We are still in need of parent volunteers for tonight’s game and other music events listed on the SignUp Genius page. Volunteer to sell raffle tickets at this game!
• Attire: Marching Uniform
• Locations: Plateau / Tom Holzer Stadium
• Load Trailer at NHS (Leadership, Front Ensemble, Sousaphones, Color Guard): 4:00 PM
• Report to Plateau: 5:00 PM
• Pre-Game: Senior Night Ceremony
• Kickoff: 7:00 PM
• Halftime: Aretha Franklin Show (show shirts will be available for sale at the game – see Adam to purchase)
• Post-Game Performance: in concert formation at the end of the game
• Leadership, Front Ensemble, Sousaphones, Color Guard: load trailer at the end of the game then meet at NHS to unload

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7: Cancer Awareness Run/Walk

• The NHS Band supports the 2023 Global Grace Cancer Run/Walk, a cancer awareness fundraiser event hosted by Adam Kollipara.
• Scan the QR code on the posters at the band door, or click here for details and to register for the event this coming Saturday at 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM.

NHS ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES

• Parents must email both Mr. Rumbell and Adam regarding any student absences to be in compliance with the “Attendance Policies & Procedures” section of the Band Packet. This includes arriving late or leaving early from rehearsals (during and after school) or performances.
• The band’s policies and procedures must be followed in addition to reporting absences during the school day (see Northville High School’s Attendance Guidelines).

SENIOR BANNER ORDERING

• Text Ann Ryan at (734) 776-1773 to order a banner for your band senior if you missed ordering one on the band picture day during band camp.
• Banners are displayed on the fence at Tom Holzer Stadium.

HOLIDAY LIGHTED PARADE

• This parade is at 6:30 PM on Friday, November 17 and precedes the tree lighting ceremony at 8:00 PM in the Northville Town Square.
• The band will march in the parade performing “A Christmas Special.”
