Week of December 4

We need parents to sign up on SignUp Genius to help with marching uniform return and tuxedo fitting/distribution! Marching uniform return is on Tuesday, December 5 at 7:30 – 8:30 AM and 2:30 – 4:30 PM. Tuxedo fitting/distribution is during classes on Thursday, December 7 and Friday, December 8.

Please be advised that the COMBINED Symphonic Band 9/10 will now play on BOTH nights of the Band & Choir Holiday Concerts on Tuesday, December 19 & Wednesday, December 20 due to unbalanced instrumentation in Symphonic Band 10.

If you did not pick up your band yard sign at Band-O-Rama, please pick them up from the band room this week. The 4 remaining are currently locked in the guard/uniform room. The second ordering period closes MONDAY, DECEMBER 4 on the NHS Music Boosters’ website.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 4: Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal & Final Day to Order Yard Signs

• Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
• The second ordering period for yard signs closes MONDAY, DECEMBER 4 on the NHS Music Boosters’ website.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5: Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal; Marching Uniform Return (ONE DAY ONLY)

• Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
• Marching Uniform Return Instructions:
  • ALL DISTRICT-OWNED PIECES of the marching uniform MUST be returned THIS DAY ONLY at 7:30 – 8:30 AM or 2:30 – 4:30 PM in the band room.
  • If you cannot return your uniform yourself, send it with a friend to return it for you; if it is not returned this day, you are responsible for paying to have the jacket and pants professionally dry cleaned, and it must be returned in the dry cleaner’s plastic bag with receipt in order to be returned – NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Thank you for your cooperation with this deadline; the company we use for dry cleaning picks up all uniforms in bulk at one time for cleaning.
  • The following district-owned pieces MUST be returned (amount to be paid to NHS Band if not returned):
    • Jacket – $200
    • Bibbers (pants) – $90
    • Shako (hat) – $50
    • Shako Box – $10
    • Plume – $20
    • Plume Holder – $5
    • Black Garment Bag – $10
    • Black Hanger – $5
    • Guard Tunic – $80

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7: Rehearsals; Tuxedo Fitting & Distribution

• Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal @ 7:30 – 8:20 AM.
• Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8: Tuxedo Fitting & Distribution; Percussion Ensemble After-School Rehearsal; Tri-M Winter Concert

• Tuxedo fitting/distribution during the school day. PARENTS: Go to SignUp Genius to help with tuxedo fitting & distribution! Tuxedos are for students in Symphonic Band 11/12, Jazz Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble.
• Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 4:00 PM.
