District XII Band Festival is this Saturday, March 9 at Wayne Memorial High School. Important information is included below in this week’s schedule and in the Band Information Packet.

This Week’s Schedule
All students need to bring marching instruments and music and symphonic instruments and music to band class everyday. In addition to festival music, marching music will be rehearsed during every band class in preparation for the marching band performance at the Pep Rally this Friday, March 8 during 4th hour.
MONDAY, MARCH 4: Jazz Rehearsal
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
TUESDAY, MARCH 5: Jazz & SB 9/10 Rehearsals
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
- Symphonic Band 9/10 Rehearsal @ 3:30 – 4:30 PM.
THURSDAY, MARCH 7: Percussion Ensemble, Jazz, and SB 11/12 Rehearsals
- Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal @ 7:30 – 8:20 AM.
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
- Symphonic Band 11/12 Rehearsal @ 3:30 – 4:30 PM.
FRIDAY, MARCH 8: Pep Rally
- Marching Band Performance at the Pep Rally during 4th hour.
SATURDAY, MARCH 9: District XII Band Festival
- Attire: Concert Uniform
- Along with marching shoes, all students must wear crew-length (long) black socks ONLY, with NO designs or logos. NO EXCEPTIONS. We are rated based on appearance in addition to musicianship.
- Location: Wayne Memorial High School, 3001 4th St, Wayne, MI 48184
- Symphonic Band 9/10
- Report to NHS @ 7:00 AM in Concert Uniform (Summer Uniform – tucked-in band polo, black dress pants, black belt if needed, marching shoes, black socks).
- Perform @ 9:50 – 10:50 AM.
- Return to NHS by 12:30 PM.
- Symphonic Band 11/12
- Report to NHS @ 9:45 AM in Concert Uniform (Tuxedo – jacket, pants, tux shirt, bowtie, marching shoes, black socks).
- Perform @ 12:50 – 1:50 PM.
- Return to NHS by 3:00 PM.
- District XII Band Festival is a required and graded performance for all band students. Students are bussed to and from festival.
- The trailer will be used for percussion instruments and some larger wind instruments. All other instruments will be taken on the buses.
- Wayne Memorial will provide timpani, bass drum, and mallet instruments. SB 9/10 percussionists will bring all other percussion needed for both SB 9/10 and SB 11/12. See Adam at 7:00 AM for the list of percussion items.
- Students who are leaving after the festival performance with parents instead of the bus must notify Mr. Rumbell or Adam before leaving.

- State Jazz Festival is a required and graded performance for Jazz Ensemble members.

NHS MUSIC BOOSTERS OPPORTUNITIES – Website
- The Boosters will be meeting on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 PM in the Carlo Meeting Room at the Northville District Library. Any parents are welcome to attend.
- Designate the Boosters to receive donations when you shop at Kroger and Busch’s.
