MONDAY, MAY 26: Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony
- PARADE ROUTE & DETAILS
- Attire: Summer Uniform – refer to Band Packet page 7
- Location: Cady & Griswold
- Band Room Open: 8:00 AM
- Report: 9:00 AM to Cady & Griswold Intersection
- Parade: 10:00 AM
- Ceremony: 11:00 AM in Rural Hill Cemetery
- Ice Cream: 12:00 PM in Casterline Funeral Home Parking Lot
- EAT A HIGH-PROTEIN BREAKFAST and HYDRATE before the parade.
- The band marches the parade, which briefly stops at Oakwood Cemetery, then proceeds to Rural Hill Cemetery for the Memorial Day Ceremony, briefly stopping at the bridge before entering. The band performs A Salute to Freedom, You’re a Grand Old Flag, and God Bless America during the parade, and God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner during the ceremony. Water is distributed to the band at Rural Hill. The band is dismissed after the ceremony, and Guernsey provides free ice cream to all in the Casterline Funeral Home parking lot. Return instruments to NHS on Tuesday.
- The Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony is a required and graded performance for all band students, including seniors.
TUESDAY, MAY 27: Jazz Rehearsal & Leadership Clinic
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal at 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
- Band Leadership Clinic at 3:30 – 4:30 PM.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 28: Jazz Rehearsal & Leadership Clinic
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal at 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
- Band Leadership Clinic at 3:30 – 4:30 PM.
THURSDAY, MAY 29: Jazz Rehearsal & Leadership Clinic
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal at 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
- Band Leadership Clinic at 3:30 – 4:30 PM.
FRIDAY, MAY 30: Drumline @ Field Days; “A Night of Jazz”
- Drumline @ Elementary Field Days
- Attire: Drumline Hoodie, NHS Apparel & Colors
- Report to Band Room at 11:15 AM to get drums.
- Report to Ridge Wood Elementary at 11:25 AM to perform from 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM and 12:40 – 1:25 PM.
- Report to Winchester Elementary at 2:50 PM to perform from 3:10 – 3:35 PM.
- “A Night of Jazz” with the Jazz Ensemble in Northville Town Square
- EVENT DETAILS
- Attire: Tuxedo
- Location: Stage in Northville Town Square (by the clock on Main St)
- Load Trailer: 5:30 PM (all percussion)
- Report: 6:00 PM to Stage
- Rhythm Section: Unload on Mary Alexander Ct behind stage
- Concert: 7:00 – 9:00 PM
- Jazz Ensemble members transport instruments. The trailer WILL be at NHS at 5:30 PM to load percussion instruments and stands/chairs. Bring a plexiglass sheet or clips to prevent wind from blowing music off stands. Rhythm section must ensure they have extension cords and cables for guitars, electric keyboard, and amps.
SATURDAY, MAY 31: Drumline @ Senior Car Parade
- EVENT DETAILS
- Attire: Drumline Hoodie, NHS Apparel & Colors
- Report to Band Room at 3:45 PM.
- Perform from 4:00 – 6:00 PM as cars parade into the NHS main lot.
SUNDAY, JUNE 1: Graduation Band
- EVENT DETAILS
- Attire: Dressy/“Sunday Best” – refer to Band Packet page 7
- Location: USA Hockey Arena – 14900 Beck Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170
- Band Room Open: 4:00 PM
- Arena Doors Open: 4:30 PM
- Report to Arena: 5:00 PM
- Ceremony: 6:00 – 8:00 PM
- Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will perform Pomp & Circumstance for the Class of 2025 Commencement.
- Graduation Band is a required and graded performance for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade band students.

NHS MUSIC BOOSTERS OPPORTUNITIES
- Designate the Boosters to earn money when you shop at Kroger and Busch’s.
- Parents can attend monthly Boosters meetings. Check the Boosters website and the Band website/calendar for the meeting schedule.

- Email Adam if you would like to purchase spirit wear, such as Halftime is Gametime shirts, show shirts from previous marching seasons, or percussion apparel.
