TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2: First Day of Classes

• You will march during Band class.
• Bring all Marching Band rehearsal necessities and dress for the weather.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3: After-School Marching Band Rehearsal, Kona Ice

• Marching Shoes are in front of Mr. Kollipara’s desk. Band Polos, Percussion apparel, and Color Guard apparel will arrive at NHS in the afternoon. Take all items home today.
• Any students that still need to be fitted with a marching uniform OR need replacement uniform articles (due to broken buttons, etc…) should see Mrs. Ryan in the uniform room immediately after school.
• Rehearsals are every Wednesday until the final Home Football Game.
• Bring all Marching Band rehearsal necessities and dress for the weather.
• Kona Ice @ 5:00 PM, courtesy of Varsity Football to celebrate Band Appreciation Week!
• Drumline Sectional @ 5:00 – 6:00 PM.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4: Pep Band Meeting & Rehearsal

• Pep Band Meeting & Rehearsal in the Band Room @ 2:30 – 4:00 PM.
• Band Students interested in participating or learning about Pep Band should attend this meeting.
• Specific Pep Band music will be distributed and rehearsed in preparation for the first Away Football Game on Friday, September 12.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5: Performance @ “Band Appreciation Night” Home Football Game vs. Plymouth Wildcats

• We need volunteers to help with Pre-Game Water and Halftime Pizza and Raffle Ticket Sales!
• Attire: MARCHING UNIFORM – Jacket, Bibbers, Shako, Plume, Black Marching Gloves, Black Long Crew-Length Socks, and Marching Shoes
• Locations: Plateau (directly across pedestrian bridge from Hillside) / 8 Mile Stadium (formerly Tom Holzer Field)
• Report to NHS (Leadership, Front Ensemble, Sousaphones, Color Guard): 4:00 PM
• Report to Plateau (All Students): 5:00 PM
  • Leave instrument cases in cars/with parents (Sousaphones keep cases in the trailer).
  • Do not bring unnecessary bags (medical bags and Percussion & Color Guard bags are fine).
  • Ensure you bring your lyre with all marching music (no exceptions!).
• Pre-Game Performance: 6:40 PM
• Kickoff: 7:00 PM
• *Halftime: Marching Show
• *Post-Game Performance
• Load Trailer (Leadership, Front Ensemble, Sousaphones, Color Guard, Drumline) and return to NHS to unload.
• The following apparel is available for ordering until Thursday, September 11 @ 11:59 PM and will be distributed at NHS approximately 2 weeks later:
  • Marching Show Shirts are available for purchase – congrats to Mizuki Kanda on her winning design this year!
  • Drumline Hoodies are available for purchase – for Drumline families only, as this is a uniform piece for Drumline performances throughout the year.
• Any Percussion or Color Guard members who did not receive their apparel can pick up their items today from Mr. Kollipara’s desk, as well as everyone who ordered “Halftime is Gametime” t-shirts.
