Volunteer to help with our football games and raffle ticket sales!

Attention low brass! NHS Band alumnus and tubist Aaron Luebke has extended an invitation to all trombones, euphoniums, and tubas for MSU’s “Low Brass Day” on Sunday, October 5. If you would like to participate in this activity, you can register on MSU’s website below.


This Week’s Schedule

  • Drumline Sectional @ 2:30 – 4:00 PM.
  • Drumline Sectional @ 2:30 – 4:00 PM.
  • Pep Band Seminar Rehearsal @ 7:30 – 8:20 AM. New music will be distributed and rehearsed.
  • After-School Marching Band Rehearsals are every Wednesday @ 2:30 – 5:00 PM until the final Home Football Game. Bring all Marching Band rehearsal necessities and dress for the weather.
  • Drumline Sectional @ 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
  • Music Leadership Workshop in Orchestra/Ensemble Room 132 @ 6:00 – 7:00 AM (before school). These optional workshops held on Thursday mornings are open to all NHS music students, regardless of holding any sort of leadership position in band, choir, or orchestra. These are led by Mrs. Ray-Hepp. Please contact her with any questions about these workshops.
  • Drumline Sectional @ 2:30 – 4:00 PM.
  • VICTORIAN PARADE ROUTE
  • Attire: Marching Uniform – jacket, bibbers, shako, plume, gloves, long black socks, marching shoes
  • Locations: Cady & Griswold Intersection (Parade) / 8 Mile Stadium (Game)
  • Report to NHS to Load Trailer (Leadership and Front Ensemble): 4 PM
  • Report to Parade (All Students): 5:45 PM
  • Parade: 6:30 – 7 PM
  • Football Game Tickets: For spectators, $6.00 via GoFan or pay at the gate. KLAA and NHS Passes are accepted. Gates at ticket booths open at 6:00 PM. No tickets for Band Students – they always enter free!
  • No Pre-Game Performance
  • Kickoff: 7 PM (we will not be at the Stadium by this time)
  • Halftime: Marching Show; Band Students are provided pizza & drinks
  • Post-Game Performance
  • Front Ensemble unloads trailer at Stadium before reporting to Parade. Sousaphones and Color Guard transport their own equipment. The Band will perform while marching the Parade. After the Parade, the Band reports directly to the Band bleachers at the Stadium (either walk or drive, but traffic and parking may be challenging) for the Football Game and will receive water. No rehearsal at the plateau and no Pre-Game Performance due to Parade; only the Marching Show at Halftime and Post-Game Performance.
  • Load Trailer (Leadership, Front Ensemble, Sousaphones, Color Guard, Drumline) and return to NHS to unload. Sousaphones and Color Guard can send their equipment back to NHS on the trailer.
