The 2025/26 NHS Jazz Ensemble performs at the Detroit Jazz Festival on Sunday, September 6, 2026 @ 1:00 – 1:30 PM in the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center. Find parking information and event details here.
The Detroit Jazz Festival is the largest free jazz festival in the world. The NHS Jazz Ensemble has performed at the Detroit Jazz Festival almost every year of the festival since it began in 1980 – no other group, amateur or professional, has performed this many times at the festival other than NHS.
Any and all band students, families, and friends are encouraged to support the Jazz Ensemble by attending this special performance.
We are in need of a Lead Parent Volunteer to handle Home Football Game Drinks for the remainder of the football season.
This is the pop, Arnold Palmer, Gatorade, etc…, that is available to the band when they get their pizza after halftime.
Please contact Sara Weber in the NHS Band Facebook Group for information.
