The “Pre-Festival Celebration” Concerts are coming up in less than 1 month, and we currently only have 1 of 10 ticket & usher volunteer spots filled! Visit the Band SignUp Genius and consider volunteering your time.
After-School District Band Festival Rehearsals will begin next week (Week of January 12). These rehearsal dates will be announced by the end of this week. MSBOA has not informed us of District Band or State Jazz Festival dates. These dates will be announced as soon as they release the schedule to us.

A friendly reminder that all rehearsals and performances are required, and any unavoidable conflicts must be emailed to both Mr. Rumbell and Mr. Kollipara at least 30 days in advance.

MONDAY, JANUARY 5: Jazz Rehearsal
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM. Students not enrolled in 1B Jazz Ensemble are welcome to perform with Jazz Ensemble only if after-school rehearsals are attended. See the Band Calendar for the full rehearsal schedule.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 6: Percussion/Jazz Rehearsals
- Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal @ 7:20 – 8:20 AM.
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM. Students not enrolled in 1B Jazz Ensemble are welcome to perform with Jazz Ensemble only if after-school rehearsals are attended. See the Band Calendar for the full rehearsal schedule.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 8: Music Leadership Workshop (optional), Percussion/Jazz Rehearsals
- Music Leadership Workshop in Orchestra/Ensemble Room 132 @ 6:00 – 7:00 AM (before school). These optional workshops held on Thursday mornings are open to all NHS music students, regardless of holding any sort of leadership position in band, choir, or orchestra. These are led by Dr. Ray-Hepp. Please contact her with any questions about these workshops.

- Pep Band Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 4:00 PM in preparation for performances at the Boy’s & Girl’s Senior Night Games.
