MSBOA STATE JAZZ FESTIVAL is THIS WEEK on Tuesday, March 24 at Bloomfield Hills High School.
Jazz Ensemble performs at 3:30 PM. Performing members are excused from 3B/C-Lunch at 12:30 PM to report to the Band Room.
MSBOA STATE BAND FESTIVAL may be on April 23, 24, or 29 (during the school day) or April 30 – May 2.
Due to host site changes that are beyond our control (determined by schools that volunteer to host at their school, and MSBOA), the possible dates for our State Band Festival have changed since last announced. The directors will announce the date, time, and location as soon as it is released to them by MSBOA.

MONDAY, MARCH 23: Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal
- Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.
- This is the final rehearsal before State Jazz Festival. All Jazz Ensemble members performing at festival must attend this rehearsal.
TUESDAY, MARCH 24: MSBOA STATE JAZZ FESTIVAL
- MSBOA State Jazz Festival is Tuesday, March 24. Our Jazz Ensemble performs at 3:30 PM.
- Attire: Tuxedo
- Location: Bloomfield Hills HS – 4200 Andover Rd, Bloomfield Twp, MI 48302
- Students Excused from 3B/C-Lunch to Report to Band Room: 12:30 PM

- Performance: 3:30 PM
- Return to NHS: 5:30 PM (approximately)
- From NHS, students are bussed to and from festival. All instruments are transported on the bus. Students must ride the bus to festival. Students are responsible for ensuring that the instrument(s)/equipment they use are loaded/unloaded from the bus and safely transported to/from festival. Students may return from festival with parents, but must notify Mr. Kollipara & Mr. Rumbell before leaving. State Jazz Festival is a required and graded performance for Jazz Ensemble members.

- “Into the Woods” Pit Orchestra Rehearsal @ 2:30 – 3:30 PM.

NHS MUSIC BOOSTERS OPPORTUNITIES
- We are in need of volunteers to fill several NHS Music Boosters Board positions for the 2026-27 school year! Positions open are President, Treasurer, Secretary, Website Designer, IT (to help with credit card payments for donations and raffle tickets), and Fundraising. Contact Mr. Kollipara if you are interested in volunteering for one of these positions. Thank you to Carin Lawing and Lora Graentzdoerffer for continuing their position on the Boosters Board!
